ROTTACH-EGERN, GERMANY - JULY 28: Manuel Neuer, goalkeeper of FC Bayern München signs autographs with fans during the summer training camp on July 28, 2026 in Rottach-Egern, Germany. (Photo by EyesWideOpen/Getty Images) | Getty Images Initial Reaction and ObservationsAs expected, Bayern Munich was a force and FC Rottach-Egern was a good sport about taking that beating. • >It was hard not to like what players like Arijon Ibrahimović, Tom Bischof, Felipe Chávez, Maycon Cardozo, and Filip Pavić did on the day. • >#25 on Rottach-Egern (Sebastian Kölbl) was my favorite player of the match. Loved seeing that. • >Bastian Assomo and Bara Sapoko Ndiaye both made good impressions in their limited minutes. • >Seeing the veterans step in and take over for the last portion of the match was nice. • >Overall, Bayern Munich did what it was supposed to do and we got a great look at several young players. While no one is anointing Bayern Munich as a treble-winner just yet, this was a lot of fun and a good way to close out the training camp.FULLTIME!

90’3’ — Nuraj added the final goal.

88’ — Kimmich with a nicely placed shot for another Bayern Munich goal and it’s 14-0.

86’ — Pavlović with a nice goal and it’s 13-0!

85’ — HELL YES!

Rottach-Egern have subbed on the club's cashier. He's a policeman and has been at the club since 2002 pic.twitter.com/oBlFIclYAx

— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) July 30, 202672’ — Skender Nuraj checked in for Sieb.

67’: Ossomo just scored, too. Bayern Munich is just rolling (as expected).

66’: Sapoko Ndiaye just unleashed a rocket to improve the score to 11-0. Wow.

63’ — Aleksandar Pavlović, Jonathan Tah, Joshua Kimmich, Bara Sapoko Ndiaye (who has not officially signed a deal yet), Guido Della Rovere, and Bastian Assomo have all checked in for Bayern Munich.

59’ — Sieb adds another to make it 10-0. Six different Bayern Munich players have scored.

56’ — Palhinha with a goal to make it 9-0 and yet another assist for Ibrahimović.

55’ — Nathaniel Brown is on for Manuba.

51 — Sieb got a much needed goal to make it 8-0. The kid needed something to go right!

50’ — Cardozo just added another goal for his second.

46’ — Here we go (again)! David Podar-Stiube checked in for Sven Ulreich, too.

Halftime ObservationsArijon Ibrahimović and Tom Bischof were easily Bayern Munich’s best players during the first half. Both were impact players. • >Felipe Chávez showed off his goal scoring touch as well. That has to build up the youngster’s confidence as he has an uncertain situation ahead of the 2026/27 season. • >Armindo Sieb…yikes. That was a bad half for the attacker, who might need a change of scenery for this season. • >Kim Min-jae was great. Granted, Bayern Munich’s defense was not challenged in a significant way, but the big Korean did well in his 33 minutes of action. • >Similarly, Filip Pavić looks confident and sure of himself on the backline. • >João Palhinha is kind of going through the motions, but he just needs to stay healthy, so that is okay. • >Bayern Munich, as expected, is just dictating the tempo and rolling. Vincent Kompany probably likes most of what he is seeing with the exception of some bouts of sloppiness in the final third. Halftime — Finally, we are at the end of the first half as Bayern Munich leads Rottach-Egern 6-0.

45’+3 — Maycon Cardozo put in another goal to make it 6-0.

45’+2’ — Ibrahimović added another one for Bayern Munich to make it 5-0. The youngster finished the half with two goals and an assist.

39’ — Bischof hit the post. Dude is every on the field, but in the net at the moment.

33’ — Hiroki Ito came on for Kim Min-jae.

13’ — Chávez just added another cheeky finish for a 4-0 lead.

10’ — Felipe Chávez just made it 3-0! This is already crazy.

8’ — Arijon Ibrahimović whipped in a corner to Filip Pavić for a 1-0 lead and a minute later, Ibrahimović got himself a goal.

3’ — Tom Bischof just drilled the crossbar. he brings that threat to the midfield. Still scoreless.

1’ — And we are off…

As expected, Vincent Kompany is moving the substitutes from the first friendly into the starting lineup for today’s match. João Palhinha and Sacha Boey will have a great opportunity to showcase their skillsets ahead of potential transfers. Tom Bischof, Kim Min-jae, and Arijon Ibrahimović will be making their push for more first-team minutes this season.

— FC Bayern München (@FCBayern) July 30, 2026Bayern Munich’s senior squad has started preseason training with local club Rottach-Egern at Lake Tegernsee in Bavaria. As a reward for the hospitality, Bayern will conclude the week with a friendly against the host club. Hopefully the result will be gentler than the 2023 friendly when Bayern infamously won 27-0 in a brute show of force. Some conspiracy theorists have chalked up the cruel scoreline to Bayern’s Bundesliga title streak ending at the end of the 2023/24 season.

YouTube StreamPredictionBayern wins 12-1. The substitutes from the loss to Wehen Wiesbaden will likely get starting nods but also get overruled by a few players returning from World Cup duty. Tom Bischof will shine again, creating endless opportunities for his attacking teammates. 12 goals might be a lowball estimate but Vincent Kompany will be focused less on tactics and more on players who make a difference.
