Sixers to face Nets on the road in preseason matchup as season nears

The 2026-27 season is still a few months away, but as the calendar draws closer to August, it's time to begin piecing the schedule together for both the regular season and the preseason.

>As the Sixers move forward, teams are beginning to announce their preseason schedules. The Boston Celtics, for example, announced they would face Philadelphia on Oct. 10 at the TD Garden and then again on Oct. 16 at the Xfinity Mobile Arena.

>Now, the Brooklyn Nets have announced their preseason schedule with a matchup scheduled with the Sixers on Oct. 8 at the Barclays Center. That gives Philadelphia three exhibition games now as everybody looks to get its schedule together for the upcoming season.

Philadelphia will have a chance to look at its roster and prepare for what it hopes will be a prosperous season.
