Soccer fans compare LeBron James’ 76ers move to disastrous Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr. reunion

>LeBron James waited until the conclusion of the 2026 FIFA World Cup to announce his next NBA team, as he chose the Philadelphia 76ers for the final chapter of his career.

>James will join the 76ers, who already have Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, VJ Edgecombe, and Jaylen Brown on the roster.

>On paper, the roster looks insane, but some fans are still skeptical of the chemistry between James and his new teammates.

“We’re getting basketball in soccer terms now,” a fan said. While another added, “If history has taught us anything… don’t print the championship shirts just yet.”

>“Perfect f______ example,” a fourth fan chimed in. “That’s more like the 2021 Nets,” a fifth fan clarified.

>PSG created this squad to win the UEFA Champions League, but failed to achieve that goal. Many fans believe that the same fate is awaiting the 76ers as they are aiming to win the NBA Championship.
