Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham has never been one to hold back, and she made a notable allegation about the Phoenix Mercury on her latest podcast episode of Show Me Something.
>While talking with co-host West Wilson about the multiple controversies over the past week between the Fever and the Mercury, she alleged that she had inside information about Phoenix's team dynamics.
>"I know people in their own organization that, like, nobody likes their team this year," Cunningham alleged on the podcast. "They say that they are, like, the unfriendliest group. So, we're not the only ones who feel that way. Internal people feel that way, too."
>Now, some major caveats. There is no reporting out there to suggest there is dysfunction or issues within Phoenix this season. The team's on-court struggles are evident, but this is just an allegation from Cunningham. She did play for Phoenix for a number of seasons, but this is the only comment like it made as far as we're aware. Also, Cunningham is clearly a biased party in the Fever-Mercury friction, so that needs to be taken into account, too.
>Again, this is just pure conjecture from Cunningham; there is no hard reporting on this being the case in Phoenix. Take this how you will.
>NSFW language to follow.
>
>We're sure Mercury players will get wind of this and respond in kind.
When do the Fever and Mercury play again?Thursday, July 9, in Phoenix.
