Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Georgia Stanway on a permanent deal; the 27-year-old midfielder joins after leaving Bayern Munich; Stanway will wear the No 4 shirt at the Emirates Stadium

>Arsenal have signed Lionesses midfielder Georgia Stanway following her exit from Bayern Munich.

>The 27-year-old's contract at Bayern expired at the end of last season after spending four years at the German club.

>Stanway previously spent seven years at Manchester City in the Women's Super League, where she made 186 appearances for the club and scored 67 goals.

>She returns to the English top flight and will look to add to her trophy tally, having helped City win one WSL title, three FA Cups and three League Cups.

>After departing to join Bayern, she continued to thrive in Germany and won the Bundesliga title in each of her four seasons in Munich.

>She also helped the club lift two German Cups and two German Super Cups, making 128 appearances in total and scoring 32 goals.

>Stanway was an integral part of England's midfield and has scored 33 goals in 93 appearances for the Lionesses, helping them lift the Women's Euros in both 2022 and 2025.

>"It's an unbelievable feeling and I'm so proud to be joining Arsenal," she said.
