Steph Curry's Underrated Golf Tour coming to South Jersey

From July 21-23, Steph Curry's fifth annual Underrated Golf Tour is scheduled for a stop at Seaview Country Club in Galloway.

>Underrated Golf has the stated mission of balancing participation in the sport and expanding competitive pathways for student-athletes from every community, blending elite competition with leadership development, mentorship and exposure to career pathways that extend beyond the course.

>Each stop on the U.S. tour is structured as both a championship environment and a development platform.

>At every regional event, approximately 120 student athletes compete in tournament-style play while also participating in curated programming focused on long-term success. Participants engage directly with college golf coaches, executives and industry leaders.

>“It’s about creating access and opening doors for young athletes who might not have seen themselves in this space before," Curry said in a press release. "Golf gave me so many opportunities and I’ve always believed the game should be more inclusive.”

>The season culminates at the Curry Cup, where the top boys and girls from across the tour compete for the ultimate title at Bethpage Black Golf Course.

>Additionally, the top boy and girl winners from the Underrated Golf European stop may earn the opportunity to travel to the U.S. to compete in the prestigious finale.

>While Steph Curry isn't expected to attend, golfers should have the chance to meet LPGA Tour player and KPMG brand ambassador Mariah Stackhouse, who will serve as the Underrated Golf brand ambassador for the U.S. tour.

>The event is free for parents to attend, and volunteers are needed.
