BaseballAmerican LegionShrewsbury 8, North County 1; Shrewsbury 9, North County 3: Brendan Parisi (4 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 3 Ks) and Connor Mudd (3 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 4 Ks) combined on a one-hitter as host Post 397 (9-2) won the first game of a sweep over Post 193 (7-6-1).

>Cam Kelly had two hits and drove in a run, Mudd doubled in a run and Drew O'Connell knocked in a pair to lead Shrewsbury in the opener.

>Anthony Girgenti doubled and Brodhi Byars drove him in for Main South.

>Owen Mongeon and Tommy Kursonis (double, triple) each had two hits and drove in two runs and Jake Brodeur (4 IP, 4 Ks) and Mongeon (2 IP, 1 K) combined for six scoreless innings to pace Post 397 in the nightcap.

>J.J. Walker doubled and drove in two and Nate Snoonian had two hits for Post 193 in the second game.
