>Hibernian ended their title defence season in fourth and will look to bounce back, starting with a home game against Motherwell.

>Newly-promoted Spartans will begin life in the top-flight against Partick Thistle, who have Gary Holt in charge after kicking off last summer under David Elliot.

>The first SWPL Old Firm clash is scheduled for September 27 when Rangers welcome Celtic to Broadwood Stadium.

>In the ScottishPower Women's Premier League 2, last season's runners-up Kilmarnock are away to Renfrew on the opening day after their promotion from the Scottish Women's Championship.

>Falkirk are also in the SWPL 2 following their win over East Fife in the play-off final and start the new campaign away to Dundee United.
