SWPL: Ruby Seaby signs for Glasgow City

class="wp-block-paragraph">Glasgow City have announced the signing of Ruby Seaby, who has signed a three-year deal with the club.

class="wp-block-paragraph"> The 19-year-old winger arrives in Glasgow after a spell with Ipswich Town, where she also gained experience during a loan stint at Lewes for part of the 2025/26 season.

class="wp-block-paragraph">Seaby has represented England at youth level, earning caps from Under-14 through to Under-17.

class="wp-block-paragraph">Seaby came through Arsenal’s academy, where she recorded nine goals and eight assists for the Gunners’ Under-21 team.

Ruby Seaby ‘very excited’ to have signed with Glasgow City

class="wp-block-paragraph">Speaking of the next chapter in her career at Glasgow City, Seaby said:  “I’m very excited to get started, buzzing to be here. I’ve heard a lot of good things about the league and I think it’s going to push me physically and technically, so I’m excited to test myself.”

class="wp-block-paragraph">Glasgow City Head Coach Leanne Ross added: “Ruby is an exciting young player and I’m really excited to bring her exuberance to the squad. She has pace, is direct with the ball and is also hungry to assist and score goals, bringing the exact qualities that we look for in an attacking player.”
