Three North Carolina standouts were recognized among the nation’s best this week.
>Junior pitcher Jason DeCaro, freshman reliever Caden Glauber, and outfielder Owen Hull were all selected to D1Baseball’s All-American team, honoring their dominant 2026 seasons. This comes off the heels of a largely successful season that saw the Tar Heels finish with a 54-14-1 record and a national runner-up finish.
>Below is a short summary of what each player did.
Jason DeCaro
>In 19 appearances on the mound, DeCaro showed why he was UNC’s ace throughout the season.. The right-hander went 11–3 with a 2.87 ERA over 97.1 innings pitched, piling up 99 strikeouts against 42 walks.
>He was tough to square up all season, posting a 1.30 WHIP while consistently working deep into games and setting the tone for the Tar Heels’ weekend rotation.
Caden Glauber
>If DeCaro was the workhorse, Glauber was the shutdown ace. Appearing in 30 games, Glauber put together a perfect 12–0 record with a sparkling 2.05 ERA across 92 innings.
>He was one of the most overpowering pitchers in the country, recording a season-high 114 strikeouts against 42 walks and finishing with a 1.11 WHIP. His ability to miss bats in big moments made him a go-to option whenever UNC needed a critical out.
Owen Hull
>On the offensive side, Hull was the centerpiece of a potent Tar Heel lineup. He posted an eye-popping .393/.500/.615 slash line, showcasing elite contact, plate discipline, and power.
>Hull led the charge with 27 doubles, two triples, and nine home runs, while driving in a team-high 87 RBI. He was also a major threat on the bases, swiping 18 bags, the second-most on the team behind Jake Schaffner’s 27 steals.
