Texas A&M commits over $800,000 to eight basketball opponents

Texas A&M has agreed to pay eight nonconference men’s basketball opponents a combined $815,000 to play at Reed Arena during the 2026-27 season, according to game contracts Aggies Wire obtained through a public-records request.
>The individual guarantees range from $95,000 to $110,000, with an average payment of $101,875. All eight agreements are signed by representatives of Texas A&M and the visiting school. Arkansas-Pine Bluff will receive the largest guarantee, $110,000, for its Dec. 6 visit to College Station. Holy Cross will receive the smallest, $95,000, for its Dec. 17 game against the Aggies.
>Alabama State and Northern Kentucky are each scheduled to receive $105,000. The other four opponents – Louisiana-Monroe, Southeastern Louisiana, North Florida and Prairie View A&M − will receive $100,000 apiece.
