Baylor will provide Texas with a tougher test in the preseason than Eastern New Mexico, which is a Division II program. Baylor enters this season without a ranking in the Associated Press poll, but the Bears did receive the 28th-most votes from the voters. Picked to finish third in the Big 12, Baylor will be led this winter by senior guard Taliah Scott and transfers like Skylar Jones (Louisville), Kate Koval (LSU), Reese Ross (Utah), Tianna Thompson (Ole Miss) and Trinity Turner (Georgia).

>Ranked sixth in the AP's preseason poll, Texas has also played exhibition games against No. 2 UConn and No. 11 UCLA this month. The Longhorns will open their season at home Nov. 4 against Fairleigh Dickinson.
