It's uncommon for a pair of incredible events in sports history to align more than once, especially when they fall in two entirely different sports. However, thanks to Spain's impressive 1-0 victory over Argentina in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, there's a very real chance that history could repeat itself and, in turn, leave several NBA teams quite unhappy.

>Spain had one World Cup victory in its history, which came back in 2010 when it defeated the Netherlands 1-0 in Johannesburg, South Africa. That summer featured another pivotal moment in sports: the start of the NBA's "Big 3" era, thanks to none other than LeBron James. That same summer, James was a free agent and opted to "take his talents to South Beach" and join the Miami Heat.
