>Kruise Leeming, Matthieu Laguerre and Toby Sexton were the try scorers for Catalans, whose heavy defeat in Castres leaves them in eighth place and six points outside the play-off places.

>Polselli opened the scoring for Toulouse in the sixth minute but Catalans found themselves 12-8 ahead midway through the first half, only for Toulouse to run in four tries in a remarkable 11-minute burst to open a 20-point half-time advantage.

>Sexton converted his own try three minutes into the second half to raise hopes of a Catalans comeback, but Ashall-Bott's 53rd-minute score and Ulberg's try four minutes later restored Toulouse's commanding lead.

>Ashall-Bott added his second in the 63rd minute, before two late Shorrocks tries in the 71st and 75th minute extended the winning margin for Sylvain Houles' side.

>The all-French clash was the only Magic Weekend fixture not taking place at Everton's Hill Dickinson Stadium, with three being played on Saturday and three more to come on Sunday.
