DURHAM, NORTH CAROLINA - OCTOBER 03: Dame Sarr #7 drives against Sebastian Wilkins #5 of the Duke Blue Devils during Duke's Countdown to Craziness at Cameron Indoor Stadium on October 3, 2025 in Durham, North Carolina. (Photo by Lance King/Getty Images) | Getty Images Sebastian Wilkins redshirted last year and we really didn’t get to see much of him. He’ll be playing this year, of course, and we’ll see a lot more of what he can do. Here’s a bit of summer video for a start.
class="has-text-align-none">This is obviously not high-level play. He gets off a lot of uncontested shots, for one thing. But you still see a lot of good things.
class="has-text-align-none">First, he’s shooting pretty well. He also gets to the basket pretty well (keep it in perspective – this is a light workout, not an ACC-level game).
class="has-text-align-none">But he also shows some comfortable ball handling, and he looks very fluid.
class="has-text-align-none">We’ll know a lot more when scrimmages start, and when we see the videos. For one, we don’t really see any defense here. When things really fire up, he’ll have to go against Cameron Williams, Joaquim Boumtje Boumtje, Dame Sarr and Bryson Howard.
class="has-text-align-none">And he’ll have to deal with those guys in his grill, too.
class="has-text-align-none">Still, what we see here is promising. We didn’t know that we’d see an outstanding shooter in Wilkins. If he can do this in games, he’s going to be a nice X factor for the Blue Devils.
