SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. – The USGA is already having some fun at Shinnecock.
>The first- and second-round tee times were released on Tuesday morning, and on the tee sheet are several notable groupings, many of which have particular themes to them.
>Here are some of the best:
>6:57 a.m. ET (10) – Peter Uihlein, a-Eric Lee, Sam Stevens Theme: Oklahoma State Cowboys.
>7:19 a.m. ET (1) – Padraig Harrington, a-Miles Russell, Cameron Smith Theme: Oldest (Harrington, 54) and youngest (Russell, 17) competitors in field.
>7:30 a.m. ET (1) – Brooks Koepka, Cameron Young, Chris Gotterup Theme: New York, New York! Young and Gotterup are Met area products while Koepka has won two majors on Long Island.
>7:30 a.m. ET (10) – Sungjae Im, Lucas Herbert, Kristoffer Reitan Theme: All three played their first U.S. Opens at Shinnecock in 2018.
