Welcome to the ninth installment of Seacoast high school Athletes of the Week for the 2026 spring sports season, presented by York County Community College.

>This week, and in weeks to come, you can vote for a girls athlete and a boys athlete of the week.

>This week's polls are for outstanding athletic accomplishments from June 8-13.

How do I cast my vote?Voting can be completed through the two ballots listed below. Voting closes midnight Thursday, June 18.

How do we learn who wins?Winners will be announced in a story published Friday, June 19 at seacoastonline.com/sports and fosters.com/sports.

May I nominate for future ballots?Yes. Nominate a Seacoast high school athlete by sending an email to sports@seacoastonline.com. Feel free to send us a photo of the athlete, too.

BOYS ATHLETE OF THE WEEK NOMINEESHayden Demeroto, Marshwood, lacrosse

>Demeroto scored seven goals and had two assists in the Hawks' 19-5 Class B quarterfinal win over Mt. Ararat on Thursday, June 11.

Ryan Gould, St. Thomas Aquinas, baseballGould had two hits, with three RBIs and scored a run for the Saints' in a 10-9 Division II state championship loss to Kingswood on Saturday, June 13.

Anthony Jurkoic, Newmarket, baseball

>Jurkoic reached base three times, with two hits and a walk, and scored two runs for Newmarket in the Mules' 9-6 Division IV win over Epping on Saturday, June 13.

Noah Stone, York, lacrosseStone scored seven goals for the Wildcats in a 17-4 Class B quarterfinal win over No. 6 Gray-New Gloucester/Poland on Saturday, June 13.

Joel Williams, Winnacunnet, lacrosseWilliams had 10 saves for Winnacunnet, including many at point-blank range, for the Warriors in a 16-7 Division II semifinal win over Oyster River/Newmarket on Wednesday, June 10.

GIRLS ATHLETE OF THE WEEK NOMINEESTaylor Burness, Winnacunnet, lacrosse

>Burness came up with a clutch forced turnover in the final minute to help Winnacunnet win the Division II state championship over Hanover on Tuesday, June 9.

Sage Bussiere, Portsmouth, lacrosseBussiere recorded six saves for the Clippers' in a 10-6 Division I state championship win over Souhegan on Tuesday, June 9.

Molly Conner, Portsmouth Christian Academy, softballConner hit a RBI double, stole third and scored the tying run in PCA's eventual 4-2 Division IV state championship win over Colebrook on Saturday, June 13. Conner also had a RBI double in the seventh and scored aonther run.

Maddy Guay, Traip Academy, lacrosse

>Guay recorded seven saves in net for the Rangers' in a 8-7 Class C quarterfinal win over No. 5 Erskine Academy on Saturday, June 13.

Lizzy Holden, St. Thomas Aquinas, lacrosse

>Holden scored five goals for the Saints' in a 18-8 Division III state championship win over Bow on Tuesday, June 9.
