The Washington Huskies finished top five in interceptions in the Big Ten a year ago, and they know they'll need strong players in the secondary to combat some of the conference's prolific passing offenses in the years to come.
>To that end, Washington landed 2027 four-star safety Jaden Walk-Green, who plays his high school football at Corona Centennial in California. Three out of Walk-Green's top four final choices were West Coast-based schools, but the defensive back ultimately chose Washington over the likes of UCLA, Arizona State and Vanderbilt.
>Walk-Green believes that the Huskies run their program in an NFL-like manner, which he appreciates.
>“He (head coach Jedd Fisch) runs the program like an NFL team and that really stood out for me. I like how it’s about development there and they have a great staff that really cares about the players as more than just football players but as people too,” Walk-Green told On3.
>Walk-Green posted 125 tackles and 10 interceptions during his junior campaign, and brought five of those picks back to the house.
