WATCH: Falcons take 10-point lead just before halftime vs Packers

The Atlanta Falcons offense was not able to do much on their first two drives.  However, quarterback Michael Penix has gotten settled in his first game back after suffering a torn ACL last season and just threw his first touchdown pass of the season to tight end Austin Hooper.

>Hooper’s touchdown capped off an eight-play, 63-yard drive that took under three minutes off the clock to give the Falcons the 17-7 lead with under a minute left until halftime.  This was also Hooper’s first touchdown with Atlanta since 2019.

— NFL (@NFL) September 25, 2026Green Bay got the ball at their own 33-yard line with 50 seconds left and no timeouts.  However, the Packers went three-and-out and were not able to respond to the Falcons’ score before halftime.  They were forced to punt the ball back to Atlanta with all three timeouts, giving them the chance to add to their lead.  However, given their field position, the Falcons chose to run the ball to end the half with a 10-point lead.
