Thanks to two magical and memorable victories at American Family Field last weekend, the Milwaukee Brewers need only one victory at Petco Park against the San Diego Padres to secure a spot in the National League Championship Series for a second straight season.

>If the Brewers take one of the next two games on the road, it would allow them extra rest before the start of the NL Championship Series on Oct. 11. Game 3 in the series is Tuesday night, Oct. 6.

>However, with a 53-30 home record after two wild-card victories against the Chicago Cubs, the Padres believe they can get the series back to Milwaukee for a deciding Game 5.

>After Jackson Chourio's dramatic two-out, two-run single in the bottom of the ninth inning to win Game 2 on Oct. 4, the Brewers have won seven straight games, including the last five of the regular season. However, they were swept by the Padres in their last visit to San Diego, in August.

>One of the Brewers' few bright spots in that series was starting pitcher Dustin May, who allowed just one run and four hits in six innings, striking out six. Due to his time with the Los Angeles Dodgers, May also has significant postseason experience, with a 3.86 ERA in nine games. He also has a 3.02 ERA in 10 games at Petco Park.
