One of the most unique events in sports history will take place on Sunday, when the UFC Octagon lands on the South Lawn of the White House for UFC Freedom 250.
>The event will not only take place at arguably the most unique venue to ever host a major sporting event, but features a card loaded with big names and exciting fights.
>Sign up for Paramount+ and watch UFC Freedom 250 live for no additional fee -- every UFC numbered event and UFC Fight Night is included with your subscription! Plans start as low as $8.99/month or $89.99/year!
>In the main event, interim lightweight champion Justin Gaethje will look to unify his belt against lightweight champion Ilia Topuria. Another belt is on the line in the co-main event, when Alex Pereira looks to win UFC gold in the third division of his career when he faces former interim champ Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight championship.
>The rest of the card features some interesting matchups of rising contenders and veterans looking to make a statement on the biggest stage imaginable. That's especially true in the other heavyweight showdown set for Sunday when all-time knockout king Derrick Lewis takes on rising contender Josh Hokit. Lewis was a late add to the card after not being in the original plans. He gets one of the fastest rising names in the sport in Hokit who is coming off a fight of the year contender against Curtis Blaydes in April.
>Plus, former bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley returns to take on rising contender Aiemann Zahabi. Rising lightweight contender Mauricio Ruffy hopes to keep rolling against veteran Michael Chandler. Rising middleweight prospect Bo Nickal looks to take the next step up in his rise when he takes on veteran Kyle Daukaus. And featherweight sluggers meet in the opener when Diego Lopes battles Steve Garcia.
