White Marlin Open has 334 boats competing, $9.8 million in prize money

The 2026 White Marlin Open is just one day away from beginning, as boats prepare to go out on the water on Monday. And with six days of fishing ahead for this year’s participants, they now know just how much prize money they will be competing for this week.

>The White Marlin Open announced Sunday that 334 boats have entered into this year's edition of the world's largest billfish tournament. And the estimated prize money on the line will be about $9.8 million.

>This year's White Marlin Open will take place from Monday, Aug. 3 to Saturday, Aug. 8. Boats are allowed to fish during three of the tournament's six days.
