Good Good Golf's co-founder releases apology videoGood Good Golf co-founder Garrett Clark posted a nine-minute video on the company's behalf, apologizing for the controversial ad. Clark himself played a crucial role in the commercial, as he was the one shown tackling the woman in the first place.

>"I want to first start by saying I personally want to apologize for playing the role in this skit, in this ad, at the magnitude that I did," Clark said. "And then, on Good Good's behalf, on Good Good marketing team's behalf, I wanted to say an apology as well because this is not at all what we stand for. The way that this ad was received is not how Good Good is, and it's not what we stand for. I want everyone to know that. I do not support DV [domestic violence] or abuse or any of that of any kind."

He also defended Alexis Miestowski, who played the role of the woman being tackled and had received backlash since the ad was made public.

>Additionally, Clark remained committed to growing the game with women, as the company has tried to do by creating the Good Good Girls content.

>"Golf has historically and is a big male sport, and we have wanted to change that by including women in all of our content and pushing our women’s side of the game in hopes to grow the game of golf," he said. "Hopefully, we can move on and grow the women's side of golf because that is one of our huge, huge goals."

Why was Good Good Golf's Callaway golf add controversialThe Good Goof Golf Callaway ad was meant to mimic the movie "Obsession" by having Clark be overly obsessed with his drive. However, the ad opened with him tackling Alexis Miestowski for touching the driver, a scene that was immediately criticized for promoting violence and abuse.

The group's merchandise was taken down at Golf Galaxy, and the group's "Big Break" show on Golf Channel was postponed.
