Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber has recently played a behind closed doors friendlyArsenal defender Jurrien Timber has recently played in a behind-closed-doors friendly, according to Hand of Arsenal. The Dutchman completed the Gunners’ first-team training on Wednesday and is available for selection when Mikel Arteta’s men take on Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final this evening. Timber had been out of action since March following a groin injury against Everton at Emirates Stadium but is now fully fit.

>It is unknown when the behind-closed-doors friendly took place, but it likely happened this week. Arsenal need Timber in their defence to keep PSG attacker Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in check, and he could be starting the game.

The Gunners head into the game as Premier League champions and will fancy their chances of winning their first-ever European title. Having Timber available is a huge boost and Arteta now has to get his tactical decisions right.

>He is coming up against a very good and experienced manager in Luis Enrique, and PSG also have some of the best players on the planet. Arsenal have an excellent defensive record this season, but everyone across the pitch has to step up this evening.

>They have to give their best and pull out all the stops to ensure they return to North London with the trophy.
