As No. 57 pick in 2026 NFL Draft, Logan Jones receives lifetime supply of Heinz ketchup

Logan Jones not only began his professional football future on Friday night, but also received a lifetime prize that could make him the envy of condiment lovers worldwide.
>Jones, a center from Iowa, was selected by the Chicago Bears with the No. 57 pick in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft. Prior to the draft being held in Pittsburgh, the Kraft Heinz Company announced that the 57th pick would receive a lifetime supply of Heinz ketchup.
>“Paying homage to the longstanding, iconic ‘57’ gracing its bottles for 157 years and counting, HEINZ is turning the 57th pick into a moment of its own.” the company said in a statement. “Introducing: ‘Mr. 57,’ a new Draft day tradition celebrating the player behind one of the most recognizable numbers in culture.”

Because he was drafted with the 57th overall pick, Logan Jones will receive a lifetime supply of ketchup from The Kraft Heinz Company.
Jones didn't know the incentive of his draft slot until informed on a zoom minutes after being selected.

But he was informed of the gift from Heinz, headquartered in Pittsburgh, during a Zoom call with reporters, according to ESPN’s Courtney Cronin.

Attending the draft in Pittsburgh on Thursday, Hester sported a red jacket with lining that he revealed was illustrated with Heinz ketchup bottles.
>Ketchup aficionados know that the number 57 is special to Heinz, which co-founder Henry J. Heinz intended to represent the “57 varieties” that his company offered. By 1896, Heinz offered more than 60 products, including horseradish, baked beans, cream of tomato soup and “salad cream.”

“No one knows for sure. Henry claimed five was his lucky number, and seven was his wife's. But he also believed seven was a significant number for people of all ages.”
>In 1911, Heinz launched its “Heinz 57” sauce. a spicier condiment intended to be enjoyed with steak, chicken or pork.
>There is no indication of whether or not Jones will receive any of the “57” sauce as part of his lifetime gift from the Heinz company.
