No. 13 Florida State softball breezes past Georgia Tech in Francik’s no hitter

The long ball, against Tech’s Madalyn Johnson, was Torres’ second lead off homerun in as many games.

— Florida State Softball 🥎 (@FSU_Softball) April 24, 2026In the home half for Georgia Tech, Jazzy Francik tossed a scoreless inning. Francik had two runners on after an error and a walk, but stranded the pair after a two out ground out ended the inning.
4th InningWith Johnson still in the circle, Jaysoni Beachum had a single to start the inning. However, a ground ball rolled by Johnson was a twin kill to put two outs on the board. FSU was not able to extend the 1-0 score.
class="has-text-align-none">Defensively, Francik continued to shut out the Yellowjackets. Facing the minimum, the sophomore put her defense to work to go 1-2-3 in the inning.
6th InningTorres had her second multi homerun game of the week, with a solo shot to make it 2-0.

Looking for a the third no hitter of her career, Francik walked her second batter, with one out. After a fly out, a runners interference call ended the game for the Seminoles, capping off a 4-0 shutout.
