Baseball: Arizona State INF Beckett Zavorek commits to TCU

A blistering recruiting run through the transfer portal continued for the TCU Horned Frogs on Monday evening. Arizona State sophomore infielder Beckett Zavorek, who slashed .321/.387/.445 with 44 hits, three home runs and 22 RBIs over 52 career games (37 starts) for the Sun Devils, announced his commitment to TCU on his Instagram account. The 5-foot-10, 180-pounder from Fresno, California has taken 137 at-bats at Arizona State.

style="background-color: #F4F4F4; height: 14px; width: 144px;">Zavorek became a full-time starter during his sophomore season, hitting .306 with 34 hits, five doubles, three homers and 18 RBIs. Prior to Arizona State, Zavorek played high school baseball at Bullard, where his team won four consecutive division championships. An All-State selection, Zavorek posted a .419 average with 32 runs, 26 RBIs, nine doubles and four triples as a senior. He was ranked a top-500 overall national prospect as a senior.
