The NFL is all about the journey, the ups and downs, and overcoming them to make it to the next chapter. For Baker Mayfield, he knows better than anyone the rollercoaster that is the life of an NFL quarterback. Before landing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he had several stops, including with the team that drafted him, which gave up on him.

>The latest quarterback to start the journey to redemption is Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kyler Murray. He has found himself looking for a new home after the Arizona Cardinals released him, but the hope is that Minnesota is the spot for his redemption arc.

>Murray's old college teammate, Mayfield, spoke recently to Carson Field of Sports Illustrated and shared how he is happy to see the new Vikings passer get his fresh start.

>Mayfield shared, “Coming from someone who has been in a similar situation where you think you’re going to be somewhere forever and just needing a new change of scenery… I think this fresh start for him is going to be amazing. Kyler gets a bad wrap, people want to put a certain persona on him.”

>Murray will have the best group of skill players around him in his career in 2026. As for Mayfield, he enters a contract year in which he hopes he can prove himself to be worth yet another contract with the Bucs where he wants his forever home to be.
