The Cincinnati Reds are trying to keep pace in a highly competitive NL Central, and Sunday's injury scare wasn't what they needed at all.
>With the Reds up a run on the Braves in the fifth inning, Elly De La Cruz looked to give Cincinnati an easy extra-base hit when he split the gap on Spencer Strider's fastball. With De La Cruz's elite speed, he easily should have cruised in for a triple.
>So, there were immediate concerns when the Reds star stopped running at first base and settled for a single. It turned out that something happened as he was making his way up the first-base line.
