Roger Hunt scored the opening goal during the World Cup 1966 group one match at Wembley Stadium [PA/PA Wire]A shirt worn by Roger Hunt during England's historic 1966 World Cup campaign has sold for £11,000 at auction.
>Theformer Liverpool striker wore the long-sleeved white shirt against France in a group game on 20 July 1966, when he scored both goals in a 2-0 win.
>Hunt was part of the team that later lifted the World Cup when England beat West Germany 4-2 at Wembley Stadium.
>Auctioneer Andrew Aldridge said: "As a lover of football, selling this is a great honour. As a Wiltshire company, Hunt had a strong connection to this town, it's a really cool thing."
