Gladbach goalkeeper heads out on loan

Borussia Mönchengladbach have confirmed that Tiago Pereira Cardoso is joining Belgian top-flight side RAAL La Louvière on a one-year loan deal.

>"Tiago is a regular in the Luxembourg national team and has already shown us, despite his young age, that he is capable of playing in the Bundesliga. A year of regular football in a strong league is therefore a logical and important next step for him,” said Gladbach sporting director Rouven Schröder.

>“It's an approach that has worked very well for us before, particularly with goalkeepers, and we hope it will help him kick on again in his development.”

>The 20-year-old made his competitive debut for Gladbach's first team in March 2025 and has featured five times in the Bundesliga so far.
