>While Hamilton qualified second, the stewards deemed him to have impeded Piastri during the session, resulting in a three-place grid penalty for the seven-time world champion.

>Mercedes' Kimi Antonelli, who originally qualified fourth, has also dropped down three places for not slowing sufficiently under single yellow flags.

>He will start in seventh, behind team-mate George Russell in sixth spot.

>Hamilton is 45 points behind title leader Antonelli in the drivers' standings, with Russell third, 50 points off his Mercedes team-mate, following his first-lap retirement in Belgium last week.

>Sunday's 70-lap race around the Hungaroring starts at 14:00 BST.
