About two hours after James’ move to the Sixers was announced Friday, the initial No. 23 jerseys available through Fanatics had sold out, including the adult royal blue, white and red Swingman premium editions. Youth jerseys were also offered for preorder, while other Fast Break versions remained available as fans rushed to grab the first Philadelphia jerseys bearing James’ name and number.

James is heading into his 24th NBA season and joins a Philadelphia roster featuring Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, Jaylen Brown and VJ Edgecombe as the Sixers chase their first championship since 1983. For a player who has been one of basketball’s biggest stars for more than two decades, the early jersey demand suggests his move to Philadelphia is already making an enormous impact before he even takes the court for his new team.
>Fanatics will routinely restock these jerseys, so it will not be long before they hit the shelves again once they sell out each time.
