Just one Bucs' player listed by ESPN as they highlight younger talent

ESPN believes the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have one of the NFL's better young rosters, but only one player currently stands above the rest.

>In its annual under-25 rankings, Aaron Schatz placed the Buccaneers 14th in the league, an improvement from last year's No. 16 ranking. More notably, Schatz identified wide receiver Emeka Egbuka as Tampa Bay's lone "blue-chip" player among its young talent.

>Egbuka earned that distinction after an impressive rookie campaign in which he recorded 938 receiving yards and six touchdowns. With Mike Evans no longer in Tampa Bay, the former first-round pick is expected to step into an even larger role as one of Baker Mayfield's primary targets.

>While Egbuka was the only player to receive blue-chip status, Schatz praised the overall youth across the Buccaneers' roster. He highlighted wide receivers Jalen McMillan, Tez Johnson, and rookie Ted Hurst III, along with running back Bucky Irving and center Graham Barton, as key offensive building blocks.

>Defensively, Schatz pointed to first-round edge rusher Rueben Bain Jr. as the headliner of Tampa Bay's newest wave of talent. He also mentioned second-round linebacker Josiah Trotter and young cornerbacks Benjamin Morrison and Jacob Parrish as players who could become important contributors over the next several seasons.

>Schatz also noted that defensive lineman Calijah Kancey and safety Tykee Smith have graduated out of the under-25 rankings, leaving Egbuka as the Buccaneers' only player to earn blue-chip recognition this year.

>With a larger offensive role awaiting him in 2026, Egbuka now has an opportunity to prove ESPN's confidence was well-placed and establish himself as one of the NFL's emerging young stars.
