Kansas City Current defender Elizabeth Ball signs contract extension

class="wp-block-paragraph">“Elizabeth has been a crucial part of the Kansas City Current since the very beginning,” said general manager Ryan Dell. “She has helped build our club into what it is today, and we’re thrilled that she will continue to be part of our growth. Not only is Elizabeth a remarkable player, but she has shown a tremendous commitment to the team, the organization and the community since day one, and her selflessness and leadership do not go unnoticed.”

class="wp-block-paragraph">She has earned 98 NWSL regular season appearances (82 starts) with KC Current since joining in 2021. Last season, Ball was part of a backline that broke several league records: points (65), wins (21), consecutive wins (9), consecutive shutout minutes (869), shutouts (16) and consecutive shutouts (9).

class="wp-block-paragraph"> In her career, she has 148 caps (119 starts) and 10,572 minutes played.

class="wp-block-paragraph">“It’s exciting to continue my career in Kansas City,” said Ball. “I’m looking forward to the rest of the season ahead and I’m focused on doing everything I can to help the team succeed.”
