>West Virginia has punched their ticket to the Super Regional on an Armani Guzman rbi single in the bottom of the 10th inning. After a scoreless 9th inning knotted at five, we headed to extra innings. Kentucky was unable to get anything going in the top of the 10th.

>The Mountaineers were able to get runners on 1st and second with only one out when Armani Guzman stepped into the box. Guzman who only has four home runs in his career was not expected to go deep. However, he did have 18 doubles and two triples heading into this at bat. Guzman got contact and drove the ball directly over the infield, dropping just in front of the center fielder for a single. Brodie Kresser got a good jump from second and scored from second.

>This marks the third season in a row the West Virginia Mountaineers have made it to the Super Regional round.
