Leverkusen in advanced talks to re-sign Moussa DiabyThree years after leaving Bayer Leverkusen for Aston Villa, Moussa Diaby could be on his way back to the Bundesliga club.

>According to Bild, Bayer Leverkusen managing director for sport Simon Rolfes is in advanced talks with the French winger, who currently plays for Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad.

>Diaby is reportedly keen on returning to Leverkusen and is said to be available for a fee of less than €30 million.

>He is also reportedly willing to forgo a significant portion of his salary – believed to exceed €10 million net per year – to facilitate the move.

>Diaby scored 49 goals and provided 47 assists in 172 appearances for Leverkusen between 2019 and 2023.
