CLEVELAND — The Guardians came up with one of their better comeback wins of 2026 with rookie All-Star Travis Bazzana providing the perfect ending.

>Bazzana blasted a walk-off home run as the Guardians rallied from a three-run deficit to beat the Pirates 5-3 in the second game of a doubleheader Saturday, July 18. Pittsburgh won the first game and looked poised for the sweep when it took a 3-0 lead into the eighth inning of Game 2.

>The Guardians offense had been virtually dormant in the doubleheader, which came about after Friday's series opener was postponed due to air quality concerns.

>Then three runs by the Guardians in the eighth tied the game and set the stage for Bazzana's heroics.

>The former No. 1 overall pick hit his first walk-off home run to break the 3-3 tie in the ninth, blasting a two-run-shot to center field.
