OGC Nice’s Kail Boudache set to complete Lyon move

Kail Boudache (19) netted the goal that put OGC Nice back ahead against AS Saint-Étienne in Friday night’s Ligue 1 promotion/ relegation play-off. Defeat to ASSE would have sent Boudache’s formative club down to Ligue 2.

>That goal, his third for the club, looks set to be a parting gift, as do the two goals then scored by Elye Wahi, as Nice ran out 4-1 winners. The Ivory Coast international will return to Eintracht Frankfurt, but it is unclear whether he will remain at the Bundesliga side.

>Boudache, meanwhile, will remain in France. Nice have been trying to get the forward to sign a first professional deal with the club, however, he is now expected to join Ligue 1 rivals Olympique Lyonnais. L’Équipe understands that his move to OL will be completed on Monday.

>He is set to sign a three-year deal with Les Gones. It will be his first professional deal, having rejected the chance to remain with Le Gym.
