Oklahoma State men's golf advanced to Tuesday’s semifinals of the NCAA Championships match play bracket with a 3-2 win over Florida in Tuesday morning’s quarterfinal round at the Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, California.
>The fifth-seeded Cowboys got an early boost from junior Eric Lee, who finished off his match 6&4 over Luke Poulter. Fourth-seeded Florida scored the next point with Parker Sands, sophomore from Edmond North High School, defeating OSU’s Filip Fahlberg-Johnsson 3&2.
>Sparked by a birdie at No. 15 OSU’s Gaven Lane finished off a 2&1 win over Jack Turner, and Preston Stout, who won individual medalist honors on Monday, closed out a 1-up win over Matthew Cress when both players bogeyed the 18th hole.
>OSU will be back on the course, taking on top-seeded Auburn at roughly 3:30 p.m.
