We are just weeks away from the start of training camp for NFL teams. The 2026 season will see their preseason start less than a month from now, and with everything fast approaching, the time for final thoughts and takeaways on rosters is starting.
>ESPN is in the thick of it all in terms of their reflection on NFL rosters. They recently posted several talking points for fans to think about with their teams with various analysts from their network. One of the angles they recently discussed was the biggest non-starter of every roster.
>For the Bucs, they went with tight end/fullback Payne Durham. The Swiss Army knife of the offense, Durham, does not usually get national recognition.
>ESPN's Aaron Schatz writes, "The Buccaneers used multiple tight ends roughly 24% of the time last season, and Durham started 10 games as the resident blocking tight end and backup to Otton. Yet, he had only one reception on just four targets last season, and the Buccaneers' running backs had roughly the same performance with Durham on the field as they had without him."
>Durham is one of the more underrated players on the Bucs roster, and now folks are starting to take notice.
