The Los Angeles Rams haven’t just assembled one of the NFL’s best skill groups around Matthew Stafford with playmakers such as Puka Nacua, Davante Adams and Kyren Williams. Perhaps more importantly, they’ve put together an outstanding group of offensive linemen who do an excellent job protecting their MVP quarterback.

>Last season, the Rams allowed just 23 total sacks, which was tied with the Broncos for the fewest in the NFL. Stafford had plenty of time to throw from the pocket, which is a major reason he was so successful throwing down the field to his receivers.

>After such a strong season from the O-line last year, the Rams are maintaining all five starters for the 2026 season – assuming Alaric Jackson doesn’t face discipline from the NFL for his recent arrest. And on paper, the Rams’ offensive line is as good as any.

>Football Insights put together composite rankings from various analysts and outlets, which landed the Rams at No. 3. No one ranked them lower than sixth, and one outlet even put them second behind only the Broncos.

>Denver ranked first, followed by the Eagles, Rams, Bears and Buccaneers. The 49ers came in at No. 8, the Seahawks were 15th and the Cardinals ranked 21st.

— Football Insights 📊 (@fball_insights) July 7, 2026The Rams' skill players get a lot of praise and attention, especially with the way Stafford delivers the ball to them in space, but the O-line is a major strength of this team. We saw what happened with a poor offensive line in 2022, causing Stafford to be sacked 29 times in only nine games – six more times than he went down in 17 games last season.

>The entire offense fell apart and it was a disastrous season for more reasons than one. But with a powerful unit like the one Los Angeles has put together this season, Stafford will be well-protected in Year 18.
