Sandro Tonali set for Spurs medical

Sandro Tonali is set to undertake his medical at Tottenham Hotspur before completing a £100 million move to the club.

>According to the reliable David Ornstein of The Athletic, Newcastle United have accepted a bid of an initial £92.5 million with a further £7.5 million in add-ons from Spurs, who are looking to invest heavily to rebuild after two seasons finishing close to the relegation zone.

>The Italian is said to have agreed a six-year deal with Tottenham which will see him enjoy a significant increase in his salary.

>The 26-year-old first joined the Magpies from AC Milan back in the summer of 2023 and has since featured 110 times for the club, netting 10 goals and making nine assists.

>The arrival of Tonali will be another statement of intent from Spurs who are also expected to complete the transfer of Mateus Fernandes from West Ham United.
