Sheffield Wednesday sign defender Liongola

Sheffield Wednesday have signed full-back Jordi Liongola from Belgian Pro League side RAAL La Louviere for an undisclosed fee on a three-year deal.

>The 26-year-old made 31 appearances last season, providing two goals and six assists during RAAL's first-ever campaign in the Belgian top flight.

>Liongola, who has 15 international caps for Burundi, is the Owls' second signing under its new owners, the US consortium Arise Capital Partners.

>"I'm joining in a new era and that is something that really excites me," he told the club website.
