Texas A&M's offense now ranks 97th nationally after seven weeks, while the Aggies' revamped offensive line, reshuffled multiple times this season, includes two of four transfer-portal additions who have remained starters. Former Alabama OL Wilkin Formby started the first three games at right tackle, then switched to right guard and has thrived since.
>Alabama fans will tell you Formby was one of the Tide's worst offensive linemen last season, and while he struggled in pass protection, that part of his game has improved, especially after switching back to his more natural guard position.
>Per Pro Football Focus, Formby is the country's highest-graded pass protector, with an elite 93.3 grade, and has not allowed a sack while allowing just four pressures, including a season-high two pressures during the Aggies' 27-6 road loss to Missouri. Third-year OL coach Adam Cushing deserves credit for Formby's improvement, especially for making the position switch.
>This is Formby's final collegiate season, so the NFL is next, and continuing to block at a high level, especially as a run blocker, will be critical if the Aggies have any shot at salvaging the season and building momentum heading into 2027.
>Right now, Texas A&M's starting offensive line, barring transfer Trovon Baugh's return, includes LSU transfer Tyree Adams at left tackle, freshman Sam Rosebough at left guard, Mark Nabou at center, Wilkin Formby at right guard, and sophomore Lamont Rogers at right tackle.
