Titans set to induct Chris Johnson into Ring of Honor in season opener

In the weeks following the interview between Tennessee Titans’ great Chris Johnson and Michael Strahan, where he revealed his heartbreaking diagnosis of ALS, many have shown their support by bringing back the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness of this devastating disease.
>While the challenge of spreading the word about this devastating neurological disease is ongoing and growing every day, the Titans organization is taking it a step further by inducting Johnson into the franchise's Ring of Honor during the 2026 regular season opener against the New York Jets.

>"Chris Johnson holds a special place in the hearts of our organization and our fans," Titans controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk said in a statement. "His stats speak for themselves, and he will forever remain a leader in our record books, but the man behind the yardage deserves just as much celebration. We look forward to welcoming him home on Sept. 13 and officially inducting him into the Titans Ring of Honor."
>Johnson will forever be remembered as one of the most explosive running backs in NFL history and one of the greatest Tennessee Titans in franchise history. In Nashville, Johnson rushed for 7,965 rushing yards and scored 58 touchdowns in 95 games, with his 2009 season being one of the greatest in NFL history, where he was named the NFL's Offensive Player of the Year and first-team All-Pro.
>In 10 NFL seasons, Johnson finished his career with 9,651 rushing yards and 55 touchdowns and another 2,255 yards and nine receiving touchdowns.
