— Ryan Edwards (@redwardsradio) July 31, 2026

First 7-on-7 period of training camp featured a couple of big completions from Bo Nix to Courtland Sutton and Pat Bryant.

We’re off and running here.

— Aric DiLalla (@AricDiLalla) July 31, 2026

Good 7 on 7 period from Bo Nix.

Had two nice connections downfield to Courtland Sutton and Pat Bryant.

PS2 with a nice PBU vs. Court on one play

— Cody Roark (@CodyRoarkNFL) July 31, 202614. Broncos backup QBs battling for QB2

Jarrett Stidham sharp in 7s. Really nice ball to Jaylen Waddle on a deep crosser, who will clearly be an exceedingly tough cover for any Broncos CB in camp

Sam Ehlinger slinging it too. Lil’Jordan Humphrey with a tough stretching grab over the middle

— Luca Evans (@bylucaevans) July 31, 202615. Jaylen Waddle gets first catch in 11-on-11

First play of team period, appropriately, was a completion to Waddle for 7+ on a slant.

Next completion was to Mims on a screen that he took up the sideline for a decent gain

Offense humming early @KOAColorado

— Ryan Edwards (@redwardsradio) July 31, 2026

The Bo Nix to Jaylen Waddle connection just looks so seamless. So easy and smooth.

— Romi Bean (@Romi_Bean) July 31, 202616. Jarett Stidham hits Evan Engram deep

Jarrett Stidham DEEP to Evan Engram just now. Perfect ball, Engram got behind the coverage.

Hello.

— Luca Evans (@bylucaevans) July 31, 2026

Jarrett Stidham with a BOMB to Evan Engram in stride for a ~50-yard gain. Beautiful pass and pure speed from Engram.

— Zac Stevens (@ZacStevens) July 31, 2026

Biggest play of team so far is Jarrett Stidham over the top to Evan Engram.

— Parker Gabriel (@ParkerJGabriel) July 31, 2026

Early play of the day at Broncos training camp:

Jarrett Stidham throws a deep shot to Evan Engram in 11-on-11 work for what would’ve been 60- or 70-yard completion. Stidham launched it at least 50 yards in the air.

— Aric DiLalla (@AricDiLalla) July 31, 2026

Play of camp so far: Stidham deep to Engram, TD, crowd goes wild. Peek at Davis Webb Factor?

— MikeKlis9NEWS (@mikeklis9news) July 31, 202617. Riley Moss, Karene Reid make plays on defense

Strong second team period for Riley Moss. Broke up a fade ball to Courtland Sutton in one-on-one rep, had a near-pick on Bo Nix as Nix was rolling right + firing cross-body

— Luca Evans (@bylucaevans) July 31, 2026

Big catch for Marvin Mims on a deep crosser. Skinner in coverage

— Ryan Edwards (@redwardsradio) July 31, 2026

Better work from the defense second time through in team.

Riley Moss had back-to-back PBUs. Then Karene Reid forced and recovered a fumble against Michael Bandy.

— Parker Gabriel (@ParkerJGabriel) July 31, 2026

#Broncos ILB Karene Reid with defensive play of the day so far, poked out ball from Michael Bandy after a catch and recovered himself.

Other second-period notes:

-Jarrett Stidham ⬆️ -Marvin Mims great route + grab on deep crosser, JL Skinner in coverage

— Luca Evans (@bylucaevans) July 31, 2026

Some strong work from Denver’s defense in the second 11-on-11 period.

Riley Moss stood out with a couple of PBUs, including a near INT.

— Aric DiLalla (@AricDiLalla) July 31, 202618. Bo Nix looked sharp, hit Marvin Mims deep

Highlight of the day: Bo Nix just dropped it in the bread basket deep down the left sideline for Marvin Mims Jr.

Perfect ball for Mims, who’s had a day. Nix was *sharp* in final team period.

— Luca Evans (@bylucaevans) July 31, 2026

Mims just beat Moss deep down the left sideline for a 50 yard TD from Nix

— Ryan Edwards (@redwardsradio) July 31, 2026

Bo Nix hit a big shot down the left sideline to Marvin Mims, Jr, past Riley Moss.

Mims finished the play with an emphatic spike.

— Parker Gabriel (@ParkerJGabriel) July 31, 2026

Bo Nix just unleashed his best throw of Day 1, a well-placed bomb up the sideline for Marvin Mims, who hauled it in against tight coverage from Riley Moss.

— Nick Kosmider (@NickKosmider) July 31, 2026

Bo Nix with a perfect deep pass to Marvin Mims Jr. to cap a really good team period. Completions to several different guys.

Nix was dealing.

— Aric DiLalla (@AricDiLalla) July 31, 202619. Broncos view Ben Powers as a starter

Ben Powers is doing “fantastic” and the Broncos see him as a starter, per Sean Payton. Did add there is always competition.

— Zac Stevens (@ZacStevens) July 31, 2026

#Broncos coach Sean Payton on whether Ben Powers, who took pay cut after injury-riddled season, could be pushed at left guard by Alex Palczewski. “There’s always going to be competition. He’s doing fantastic. And we certainly see him as a starter. And he’s playing well.”

— Chris Tomasson (@christomasson) July 31, 202620. Reporter takeaways after Day 1

#Broncos Training Camp Day 1 thoughts:

-A lot of fireworks from the offense, attacking deep often -Big plays from Engram, Sutton, Mims, Butler, Franklin, Bandy -Waddle is ELITE off of the line -Nix looked very comfortable -Reid strip/fumble recovery -Moss/Austin PBUs

— Ryan Edwards (@redwardsradio) July 31, 2026

More:

-Riley Moss great day at CB -Karene Reid w/forced fumble at ILB, Brent Austin nice diving PBU in team -Safeties iffy in coverage today (JL Skinner beat by Mims) -Que Robinson + Dondrea Tillman could be in a potential OLB4 competition -Jarrett Stidham sharp

— Luca Evans (@bylucaevans) July 31, 2026

Biggest takeaways from Broncos training camp practice today:

—Jaylen Waddle had a REALLY good first day of camp

—Evan Engram arguably the star of the day, catching a pass from every QB, including 50+ yard bomb from Stidham

—Play of the day: Bo Nix with a DEEP 50-yard… pic.twitter.com/VjdNxKcMLE

— Zac Stevens (@ZacStevens) July 31, 2026

Perhaps most importantly, Bo Nix looked comfortable while being put more on the run than he was during acclimation workouts. Ran up in the pocket well and found space on the edge to find throwing angles.

— Nick Kosmider (@NickKosmider) July 31, 202621. J.K. Dobbins promises to stay healthy

J.K. Dobbins said he will “pinky promise” everyone that he’ll finally play all 17 games this year.

Asked him how he plans to control that. He said he’s back to being as flexible as he was younger.

“I’m gonna be like Elasti-Boy, or Elastigirl or something.” pic.twitter.com/6uNlx0dVl9

— Luca Evans (@bylucaevans) July 31, 202622. Standout of the day: TE Evan Engram

Two immediate takeaways from first couple periods of #Broncos practice today:

-Evan Engram could well be more involved with Davis Webb as play-caller, particularly in hurry-up situations -Eyioma Uwazurike and Jordan Jackson will have big roles to play in DL competition

— Luca Evans (@bylucaevans) July 31, 2026

Evan Engram the standout of Denver’s first 11-v-11 period of camp. Caught a beautifully thrown deep ball from Jarrett Stidham for a TD and then snatched the ball just before it hit the ground on an intermediate cross.

— Nick Kosmider (@NickKosmider) July 31, 2026

Cannot emphasize enough that just on pure eye test, Evan Engram has thus far been the biggest winner of #Broncos camp Day 1

Just had a shoestring grab on a deep crosser from Sam Ehlinger. https://t.co/XQL75f0EqU

— Luca Evans (@bylucaevans) July 31, 2026

Evan Engram is having a DAY:

Been targeted multiple times with multiple catches during team, including the 50-yard bomb from Jarrett Stidham.

The Davis Webb play caller seems to be benefitting him a ton.

— Zac Stevens (@ZacStevens) July 31, 2026

Evan Engram is having a day. Might be the guy who benefits most from Davis Webb calling plays

— Romi Bean (@Romi_Bean) July 31, 2026

Big team period overall for Engram. Heavily involved. He’s tight with new play caller Davis Webb.

Let the overreaction commence! https://t.co/OsV55mmrKl

— Parker Gabriel (@ParkerJGabriel) July 31, 2026

Asked Sean Payton if Davis Webb is bringing new ideas on utilizing Evan Engram, given Webb and Engram’s previous relationship in NY.

“I would say yes, to some degree. I think (Davis) is trying to find different ways where, you might have a matchup.” pic.twitter.com/pg0S9er0Ak

— Luca Evans (@bylucaevans) July 31, 2026Denver will be back on the practice field for Day 2 on Saturday, followed by a day off on Sunday. After that, the team will return to practice on Monday.
