Dwyane Wade: I definitely have a favorite championship and it’s a no brainer. It’s 2006. I love all my championships but that’s my favorite because being a young kid at 24 years old. Everything just happened so fast in my life. 17 years old I’m like ‘alright I’m putting everything into basketball’ and then 24 winning a chip in the NBA. What? Being in the position where I was the leading man to accomplish that. My other championships I wasn’t the leading guy. — that’s the most proud I’ve ever been of myself.

More on Dwyane Wade: Recent HoopsHype RumorsDwyane Wade: "LeBron is never going to do what you think he's going to do. I don't think any of us had Philly pinned as the number one team, but it's right on brand. For me, when I look at that, it's a bigger than just a championship. The roster is incredible right now, and so he gets a chance to get to that maybe five, six championships. Outside of that, I look at that as an off-the-basketball move as well. I feel like it's bigger than just the two years." — 7/29/2026 YouTube
>Dwyane Wade: "At 44 years old, I shouldn't have had cancer surgery already. I'm about the numbers, but it's scary in you. I started living a little different life, a little freer. I smile more, and I always smile. I laugh more. I appreciate more. I'm thankful. I feel better, feel younger. Well, not that left knee, but you know what I mean." — 7/26/2026 YouTube
>Heat Central: Chris Bosh speaks on making things right with the Heat organization when he got his jersey retired: “It was really on the Heat to do that. Speaking with those in charge, Pat Riley, Nick and Micky, they were so cordial during the process. We had to make amends. There was some battles with me trying to come back and play and all that stuff. Having my name up there in the rafters next to Shaq, D Wade, Hardaway, Haslem, that’s the greatest. Alonzo mourning. I have to stunt on the NBA players. If you think you’ll have a career like mine you gotta go to Miami and look up there. You gotta long way to go. It’s a long way up there… if you’re lucky you get to do what you love. I love basketball… two championships, I couldn’t make it up if I wanted too.” (Via nbataketwo YT) — 7/23/2026 x.com
>Heat Central: Brian Windhorst says Pat Riley knows how to bring players back after sour exits when discussing LeBron returning to Miami: “Pat Riley over the decades has been able to have 2nd acts with all these great players. Alonzo Mourning left under a dark cloud and came back… Shaq after leaving with animist ended up returning to the franchise and got his number retired. Dwyane Wade obviously left in FA in a disagreement, came back now there’s a statue outside. Pat Riley knows how to bring guys back. While there was disappointment when he left in 2014, there’s never been the animist that existed in other places LeBron left. Miami has a pathway. Especially with LeBron saying he’s looking at multiple years. Multiple years have been the formula for him. He’s won a chip in the 2nd year everywhere he’s went. I think Miami would be at their best a year from now and LeBron can be apart of that.” — 7/17/2026 x.com
>Heat Central: Giannis on playing the Miami version of LeBron James early in his career “I saw LeBron up close and Wade a those guys and I was like ‘oh sh*t I gotta get better.’ There’s this picture I’m driving the ball going left and I have the ball in my hand and LeBron kind of swiped it, he took the ball and me at the same time. I had 11 points, I was good. We lost by 30 but I was good!” — 7/16/2026 x.com

>The HEAT Realm: Dwyane Wade says it’s difficult for LeBron James to retire because he’s still playing at an elite level: “I’m just here to appreciate what I’m witnessing…because we’ve never seen this before. It has to suck a little bit to get to this point in your career and still be really good….like I can still play — I can go play right now and still be able to play but I won’t be that good so it’s easy for me to decide to walk away. It’s hard to make that decision when you’re still really f*cking good….how do you walk away from being a GOAT when you’re still a GOAT?” (via @wynetwork) — 7/12/2026 x.com
>Heat Central: Brian Windhorst says NOBODY knows what team LeBron is joining: “You talk to these teams who are interested in signing LeBron and it’s all one way information. This is how his previous Free agency’s have operated. Nobody has known. Dwyane Wade and Bosh got about 12 hour heads up when he came to Miami.. he keeps a very tight circle and when it comes to announcing this FA he does a very good job of keeping a secret. There’s a lot of people who are basing things on vibes…. I think Giannis’ heart was beating not just because he would love to see LeBron join him in Miami but also because the team that gets him will be format able” — 7/7/2026 x.com
