Ex-LSU football quarterback starring in Netflix documentary

Netflix released its first trailer for season 3 of its sports documentary series "Quarterback" and former LSU football signal caller Jayden Daniels will be one of four QBs that the cameras will follow.

>Daniels, the 2023 Heisman trophy winner at LSU and No. 2 overall pick by the Washington Commanders, had his 2025 season chronicled alongside Baker Mayfield of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cam Ward of the Tennessee Titans, and Joe Flacco, who began 2025 with the Cleveland Browns before being traded midway through the season to the Cincinnati Bengals.

>Daniels didn't quite have the same amount of success in 2025 as he did in 2024, a year in which he won the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year and led Washington to its first NFC Championship Game appearance since 1992. Daniels missed 10 games last season due to a variety of injuries. He sprained his knee in a Week 2 loss against Green Bay and missed the following two games; a month later, Daniels strained his hamstring in a Week 7 loss at Dallas, which caused him to miss Washington's Monday Night road game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

>Daniels' most gruesome injury came in his return to the lineup, a Week 9 Sunday night game against the eventual Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. Daniels dislocated his left elbow and missed Washington's next five games. Daniels returned to the lineup for Washington's Week 14 game against Minnesota, but left the game early after aggravating the elbow injury. Washington was shut out 31-0 by the Vikings in Daniels' last appearance, and limped to an underwhelming 5-12 record.

>Daniels is the second former LSU quarterback to be featured on "Quarterback." Joe Burrow was on Season 2 of the show along with Jared Goff and Kirk Cousins.
