>According to Texas A&M head coach Blaire Anderson, the university finished a review of alleged violations, and communication has been sent to members of the team and their parents.
>"Behavior that falls short of Texas A&M's Core Values has no place in our program," Anderson said to SwimSwam's James Sutherland. "We will continue working closely with university leadership to uphold the standards expected at Texas A&M."
>Anderson did not give specific information on the allegations themselves.
>Four swimmers are no longer on the roster, according to Texas A&M's swimming team's website, including fifth-year Connor Foote, seniors Logan Brown and Ben Scholl, and junior Chase Swearingen.
>Brown was the team's only individual qualifier at last season's NCAA championships; Scholl swam on a relay team at the NCAA championships, and Foote scored individually at three NCAA championships.
>The Aggies are 0-2 and were shorthanded at their first two swim meets, losing significantly to Georgia, 222-78 and to LSU, 181.5-116.5, in October.
What happened in Aggies' 2023 hazing case?In September 2023, SwimSwam reported that members of the Aggies' men's swimming and diving team were suspended for hazing, including through a game called "Edward 40 Hands," in which two people drink back-to-back with their beverages duct-taped to their hands. It's not clear what the participants were drinking.
>Texas A&M representatives did not respond to Chron's requests for comment as of Tuesday afternoon.
>The Aggies were coached by Jay Holmes in 2023, and he announced his retirement in May 2024, shortly after the Olympic Trials. Arizona then hired Holmes in August 2025. Anderson, who serves as head coach of the men's and women's teams, took over after seven seasons on staff at the University of Virginia, including as associate head coach from 2021-24.
>Texas A&M's swim teams will next face the Arkansas Razorbacks at the Arkansas Natatorium in Fayetteville on Nov. 7.
